Gladys Newton School provides excellent, individualized, practical educational programs, promoting the social, intellectual, emotional and physical development of all students within a positive and caring environment.
Gladys Newton School is situated in Balga. We currently have approximately 91 students enrolled, aged from 4 – 18 years.
Gladys Newton School is proud to be a centre of excellence, creating opportunities for success for students with intellectual disabilities, autism and severe mental health issues.
The school has embraced its shared purpose of ”Educating for a brighter future” in all aspects of its operation. Our commitment to achieving our purpose, vision and priorities is enhanced by an active and enthusiastic P & C, a supportive School Board, a dedicated and professional leadership team and staff and parents who are willing partners in their child’s education.
We have a very large catchment area, stretching north of Karrinyup Road up to Yanchep and East to Beechboro Road North (to the east of Ballajura). The school is serviced by 9 school buses which bring in students from more than 30 suburbs. The majority of our students come in from the northern suburbs. Some students living outside the boundaries are transported by parents or carers.
